Choosing a topic
I remember by the end of the last semester I'd stupidly landed myself in a position where I needed to write 5, words cumulative, from parts of 3 essays that needed doing in 2 and a half days. I managed it with a few hours spare and got 74 in one essay, 71 in another and 67 in the final one. I'd definitely say that it's therefore possible to write 8,, in 13 days, though it will need to be much better researched than my mere essays, and I'm sure you'll be knackered by the end Best of luck Edit: I should also mention a friend of mine who finished her dissertation 14, words with a week to spare She rewrote the whole thing in 7 days.

If you know exactly what you need to write you can do it in 2, or maybe 1 day. If you still need to read, my advice would be to spend morning and afternoon reading, and writing in the evening. I know a dissertation is different but for an essay I aim for words an hour working at a relaxed pace. You CAN do this, and my advice to you would be to write off totally the next 2 weeks - bar meals and sleep, don't do anything else. Bunk classes if you have to, The next fortnight will suck and be pretty lonely - power through!
Its probably too late to sort out extenuating circumstances stuff but do try. Good luck! Universities Forum Helper. Badges: It's a question of research: have you done your research? It has to be very well researched and the structure and flow is a lot harder to get right than in a regular essay. I did 2, of 8, words for a dissertation in the 24 hours before it was due lol. I have no excuse, I'm just a moron.

Perfectly possible to write up in a fortnight, but no way possible to do thorough research for it. I spent 21 months on my M. Phil dissertation, but only spent the last 3 or 4 weeks writing it up. Did mine in a fornight. The fortnight before is was due in. Handed it in with a day to spare.

I researched and wrote my disseratation in about 6 weeks, I could probably have done it in 3 weeks though if I'd had more spare time - I was working in an office 4 days a week at the same time.
It was only 10, words though and I already knew quite a lot about the topic I'd chosen.
